About
Where PromoGrid comes from.
Not from a business idea. But from the frustration of seeing the same mistakes repeated, promotion after promotion, year after year.
Origin
How PromoGrid was born
The '90s
Open Public Service (OPS) begins operating commercial promotions in Romania. The market is just starting, rules don't exist, everything is improvised.
2000–2010
Volumes grow. Complexity grows. Mistakes multiply. The same problems — invalid data, missing prizes, unmanaged complaints — appear in every campaign. But no one documents them systematically.
2010–2020
OPS develops increasingly rigorous internal procedures. Processes are progressively standardized. But they are internal — not transferable, not commercializable, not contractual.
2020–2024
The decision to transform accumulated experience into a formal operational standard. PromoGrid is born: 12 modules (A–L), risk matrix R0–R7, 12 immutable principles, 7 phases, and a rich body of documentation — rules and artifacts.
2025–
PromoGrid becomes a solid standard under which OPS can operate multiple promotions. A vast system of web instruments develops, leading to the launch of PromoGrid Advisors.
Clarification
What PromoGrid is and what it is not
What PromoGrid is NOT:
What PromoGrid IS:
Parent company
Open Public Service
30 years of operational experience. Thousands of promotions executed. One single conclusion: the market needs a standard.
Open Public Service (OPS) is the company that built PromoGrid. Not a consulting firm that theorizes, but an operator that has executed commercial promotions for three decades. PromoGrid is the operational extract of this experience — distilled, formalized and transformed into a transferable standard.
OPS remains the owner and developer of the standard. PromoGrid Advisors is the consulting practice that implements the standard at third-party organizations. The relationship is clear: OPS creates, Advisors implements, the client operates.
